Notes from planned program content

It's nice to be greeted by program content sheets to start the week! Before I get into TD Garden for the first practices, here are a few notable findings from the planned elements from the competitors. Of course, these are not set in stone and it wouldn't be a terribly huge surprise if they deviate from the content. But here goes.

  • MEN
    • Total planned: 21 quads in SP, 37 quads in FS
    • Patrick Chan same content as Four Continents - two 4T and two 3A in FS
    • Nam Nguyen has one 4T in FS, no second 4T, and 3S as the third element
    • Boyang Jin same content: 4Lz3T, 4T in SP; 4Lz, 4S , 4T2T, 4T in FS
    • Yuzuru Hanyu replaced the second 4T with a 4S - increase of base value by 0.22
    • Same content for Shoma Uno but reshuffled FS elements - moved 2A1/2Lo3F and 3Lz to the 1st half, ending with 3A and 3A3T - increase in base value by 0.62
    • Denis Ten, as we saw at Coupe du Printemps, plans 3 quads in FS (one 4S, two 4Ts)
    • Javier Fernandez same content: 4T3T, 3S in SP; 4T, 4T3T, 4S, two 2A in FS
    • Max Aaron same content: 4S in SP; two 4S, 2 3A in FS
    • Adam Rippon same content: no quad in SP; 4Lz in FS
    • Total planned: 30 triple-triples in SP, 47 backend-triple combos in FS
    • Mae Berenice Meite 3T3T in SP, 3F3T in FS
    • Roberta Rodeghiero 3T3T in SP, 3Lz3T in FS
    • Mao Asada 3A, 3F3Lo, 3Lo in SP, but if performed as such, the solo 3Lo will be invalidated - my guess is it will be a game-time decision, 3Lz if she does 3F3Lo and 3Lo if 3F2Lo
    • Rika Hongo staying with 3T3T in SP, 3F3T in FS
    • Sakoto Miyahara same content: 3Lz3T in SP, two 2A3T in FS
    • Evgenia Medvedeva same content: 3F3T, 3Lo in SP; 3F3T, 3S3T in FS
    • Elena Radionova same content: 3Lz3T, 3Lo in SP; 3Lz3T, 3Lo1/2Lo3S in FS
    • Nicole Rajicova upgraded to 3T3T in SP
    • Gracie Gold same content: 3Lz3T, 3F in SP; 3Lz3T, 2A3T2T in FS
    • Mirai Nagasu same content: 3F3T in SP, 3F3T, 2A3T2T in FS
    • Ashley Wagner 3F3T in SP, upgraded to 3Lz3T in FS (will see in practice if that's the case)
    • Five quads planned: D/R (1), S/H (2), J/C (1), S/K (1)
    • Duhamel/Radford same content: thr4S in FS, no thr4Lz
    • Peng/Zheng no quads planned
    • Sui/Han same content: 4Tw, thr4S in FS
    • James/Cipres same content: thr4S, sbs3T3T in FS
    • Savchenko/Massot same content: sbs3T3Tseq in FS
    • Marchei/Hotarek same content: sbs3S in SP, sbs3Lz in FS
    • Stolbova/Klimov same content: no quad, sbs3T3T2T in FS
    • Tarasova/Morozov no quad planned
    • Volosozhar/Trankov same content, no quad
