Two quads!

This program is nothing short of incredible. It had been over 15 years since Miki Ando landed the first and only ratified quad for the women in international competition. Alexandra Trusova landed the next two - within 30 seconds of each other - in her free skate at the Junior Worlds this year.

This program was a technical masterclass. The quads themselves were incredible. But overlooked was the fact that Trusova combined those quads with THREE jump combos with two triples each. It was the first time in women’s skating that feat had been accomplished, and it really only made mathematical sense because she had those two quads in her program.
