On this week’s Rocker Skating Podcast, I took a trip down memory lane with Jason Brown as he tries to make his third Olympic team. We discussed how the past four years have been for him, as he went from almost retiring after the 2022 Olympics to competing in another Olympic cycle and getting some of the best results of his career.
“It feels like it feels like it's been like every single season has been like, let's see if we can get make another one,” he told me. And it was important for him to pace himself as he arrives in St. Louis next month for the US Figure Skating Championships.
Jason also joined me for Episode 3 of the Rocker Rewatch series, where he commentates on his Riverdance short program, a fresh take on the classic from 12 years ago that put him on the map with skating fans around the world.
And he has a special message to the fans, “I just want to take a moment because you mentioned the fans and I just really wanted to say that all to you guys and I truly cannot thank you enough.” As always, his humility and gratitude to the sport shine through in this interview.
Happy holidays!
